Borradill is surrounded by 25 acres of private woodland. This magical mix of oak, birch, rowan, larch and spruce is dotted with ponds, streams and viewpoints to the loch, and is home to owls, otters, pine martens and even eagles. You can forage for chanterelles, wild blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. You can pick wild flowers and take advantage of our flower arranging kit. And kids can go wild in the forest camp hidden above the wood.
A five minute walk above Borradill takes you into an area of ancient Atlantic or temperate rainforest. Oaks at least 500 years old and dripping with mosses and lichen lead you down to the burn, where a waterfall rages – perfect for a bracing dip.
